Why is that!? A bio is an attempt to make a good first impression -- capture who you are, what you do and who you help; sound smart, wise and 'different'; add some zing and personality to your 2D website; summarize your background and qualifications; convey your legitimacy and credentials...

That's a LOT. It's too much! It will always feel inadequate -- because. it. is.

(PLUS, talking about ourselves, honestly and unabashedly, in a positive way, is REALLY not something folks like us have been taught or encouraged to do. It's bold, at best.)

When choosing a coach, we want the dirt on who this person is. We want a sense of whether or not they're 'our people'. We're trying to get a feel for whether or not we want to work with them -- Can we trust them? Will they 'get' us?

We look for congruency, consistency, and resonance. We hope to spot any bullshit or shenanigans. The problem is, anyone can write a slick bio, or have one written for them. (Well, besides me apparently.)

As a leader and helper, I feel compelled to write a bio so you, dear reader, get to do all the above. I want you to know I'm legit.
